How AEIC handles information on this site, and the terms of using it. Plain language, no surprises.
Last updated June 2026. This is general site policy; it does not replace any agreement you have signed with AEIC, and the Member Portal carries its own terms.
What we collect. This is largely an informational website. We collect only what you choose to send us, mainly the contents of emails you initiate from the contact links, and standard, non-identifying server and analytics data such as pages viewed and general location. We do not sell your information.
How we use it. Information you send is used to answer your question, administer your membership or event participation, and improve the site. We share it only with service providers who help us operate AEIC, and only as needed.
Email and newsletters. If you receive AEIC communications such as The Current, every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and we honor those requests promptly.
The Member Portal. Logged-in member services are provided through our member platform, which maintains its own privacy and security terms. Information you enter there is governed by those terms.
Cookies and analytics. The site uses standard cookies and analytics to understand traffic and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Your choices. To ask what we hold, correct it, or have it removed, email aeic@aeic.org. We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.
Use of the site. This site is provided for information about AEIC, its members, and its work. You agree to use it lawfully and not to disrupt it or misuse its content.
Content and trademarks. The AEIC name, logo, publications, and the materials on this site are the property of AEIC or its members and are protected by applicable law. Technical publications such as the AEIC Cable Specifications and the Load Research Manual are made available under their own purchase or license terms; nothing here grants a right to copy or redistribute them.
No warranty. The site and its content are provided as is. AEIC works to keep information accurate and current but does not warrant that it is complete or error-free, and it is not engineering, legal, or operational advice.
External links. Links to member utilities, partners, and platforms such as the Member Portal, Spotify, and YouTube are provided for convenience; AEIC is not responsible for the content or practices of sites it does not operate.
Changes. We may update this site and these terms from time to time. Continued use means you accept the current version.
